At the begging of the story Big Russell is mad because Sherman was missing in the important day of the basketball game so Amir try to calm Big  Russell by. so a new player enter to the team of Big Russell so when Yellow Bird enter to the gym  Doris laugh because Yellow Bird because Yellow Bird look like he was using his daddy pants so Yellow Bird put this pants to confuse the other team  so Yellow Bird confuse the other team and the team of Big Russell win because Yellow Bird is big tall, and confuse the other team. The morning after the basketball game Doris become angry without Mickey and Dotty because she never goes plays wait to her to go to school. The next day the fifth graders see Sherman and try to talk to and Sherman run away. so in the school of Sherman have rumors that he is suspended of the school  the really thing is that Sherman is escape of the authorities and Doris and Amir give some cookies, milk, orange and Amir give a blanket.
